This seminar is designed to offer general and introductory concepts of mental health assessments and how to apply them in an outpatient, private practice setting.

Learning Objectives

As a result of this conference, participants will:

  1. Understand general considerations for assessment selection, administration, scoring, interpretation, and documentation of mental health assessments.
  2. Possess a clear understanding of the following psychometric concepts: validity, reliability, quantitative and qualitative measurements, and norm-referenced and criterion-referenced interpretation designs.
  3. Understand logistical applications: billing, coding, ordering, and use of publisher sites
  4. Grow in their motivation to use mental health assessments ethically to deepen their understanding of their patients.
