This conference introduces the fundamentals of attachment science, including how to identify your own attachment style and how it originates from childhood experiences with primary caregivers. The presenters will explore the "Big Six" essential needs children require to form secure attachments and how these early patterns influence adult romantic relationships. The conference will outline affect regulation theory, explaining how emotional dysregulation impacts marital dynamics, and emphasize the importance of understanding and normalizing nervous system responses within relationships. The presenters will also explain nervous system action tendencies and how these need to be "decriminalized" in adult romantic relationships. Finally, we will explain the concept of "attachment ruptures" and offer insights into how these breaks in connection can be effectively repaired.
