This workshop runs concurrently with "Forgiveness Among Us...For Self, For Others, and As Professionals." You will only be able to receive NBCC credit for one of these sessions.

The purpose of this seminar is to identify and explore the negative impacts of shame through a biblical lens, as well as through insights from developmental neurobiology. We will expose the many dangers of denial or an unhealthy view of shame on a person's life and relationship. We will educate and equip you with healthy skills to deal with the same as a practice to your client.

Learning Objectives

1. Educate on the proper view of shame from a Biblical perspective,
2. Identify the dangers of shame and the impact on self and others,
3. Equip with tools and skills to identify, explore, and renew from shame,
4. To combat unhealthy view of shame,
5. To outline the neurobiological development of chronic shame and how it is overcome.

In order to receive continuing education credit, your attendance will be recorded and you will be required to complete an emailed evaluation of the seminar and presenter.

Participants who attend "Shame: What role it plays in recovery, betrayal and the relationship" will receive 1.25 NBCC clock hours of continuing education.
