This workshop runs concurrently with "Shame: What role it plays in recovery, betrayal and the relationship." You will only be able to receive NBCC credit for one of these sessions.

Forgiveness can overcome the resentments we have created toward people, institutions, and ideas. An honest recognition of our role in the wounds caused by these relationships can lead to freedom and opportunities for healing. When we give ourselves permission to recognize, share, and release the disagreements that have led to division in our lives, we open connection points that provide a path for growth and healthy engagement with others, enhancing and expanding our personal and professional relationships.

Learning Objectives

1. Establish a personal understanding of forgiveness and where we choose to be unforgiving of self and others,
2. Explore self-ownership and resentment navigation as a path to forgiveness using awareness and honesty, particularly in areas of shame, implicit bias, and cultural competency,
3. Examine how forgiveness can lead to growth in social and spiritual hospitality, allowing us to make room for others in our personal and professional lives.

In order to receive continuing education credit, your attendance will be recorded and you will be required to complete an emailed evaluation of the seminar and presenter.

Participants who attend "Forgiveness Among Us...For Self, For Others, and As Professionals" will receive 1.25 NBCC clock hours of continuing education.
